Beer, Wine & Music Festival

The summer festival is a fantastic event that attracts thousands of people over three days in July. The entire site is turned into a venue with the main bar hosting rock acts, Logan’s houses the real ale and a great line-up of acoustic acts and the garden serves as an outdoor stage for a variety of performers. There are stalls selling clothes and other interesting items, several food vendors and an outdoor Pimms bar. Last but not least, a firm favourite for those inclined is the DJ room - which switches between heaving sweaty masses to a cool chill out zone!

2006 Summer Festival

Well, the 2006 Festival has come and gone but here are a few reminders of a great event. Once again the Festival exceeded all expectations with an even bigger turnout than last year. We were treated to a huge range of musical styles all delivered to the highest standard. I doubt there was anywhere else in the country that you could have seen that much talent in those three days!

Acoustic stalwart Dave Mansell, a regular contributor to Open Mic nights displays his talents (and knee!).

The delighfully named Cellar Door (above) - ask them about the name some time.

Two Guys and a Girl (right) - win best looking bass player of the Festival award. Sadly they had to cut their set short owing to huge traffic problems in Bournemouth delaying their arrival.

James Harrison is a man of many talents and this years Festival gave him the chance to display them to full effect. A regular at the Salisbury, James will often be seen on Si Genaro’s acoustic nights

The sound engineer’s view. Darren Livy and Andy Walton enjoy a fuzzy moment!

Mike Miller; founder, guitarist, singer and songwriter of the mighty Nemesis. Mike as always displaying his remarkable talents on his trademark ‘relic’ Steinberger.

Here’s an idea of what you missed in 2005......or for those of you who were there, a reminder of what a great time you had!

There really is nothing better than sitting out in a beer garden in glorious weather, listening to good music, eating good food and drinking very good beer, wine and nearly forgot.....thirteen different real ales!

OK, enough of the waffle, let’s get on with the pictures.

All styles of music for all tastes - Acoustic and Folk, through to Blues, Reggae and Heavy Rock - great!
