HALL OF FAME

One of the amazing things about the Salisbury Arms, and Logan’s bar in particular, is that it attracts some pretty remarkable performers from time to time:

Vikki Clayton

Widley acknowledged as one of this country’s finest voices, you are more likely to see Vikki on stage with Fairport Convention or the Richard Thompson Band in front of fifteen thousand people than in a small room with a couple of dozen friends. Sure enough, Vikki travelled down to play Logan’s in 2005 for the Nemesis 20th birthday party - and what a night it was! Vikki said afterwards that Logan’s was acoustically one of the best rooms she’d ever played in - praise indeed!

Rory Ellis

Rory is one of Australia’s finest and we were fortunate to capture him for while during his 2006 UK tour. Whilst being a masterfull songwriter and guitarist, it’s Rory’s voice that will take your breath away. It can’t be described, you’ve just got to go and see him live! Oh, and whilst you’re there, buy a CD!

The Martin Harley Band

There’s not much that you can say about this outfit that hasn’t already been said. One of this country’s greatest slide players, Martin has put together a great band with Adam Wolters on stick bass and Pete Swatton on ‘cocktail’ drums.

It’s always amusing to listen to comments by other guitarists in the audience at a Martin Harley gig - they range from pure admiration to total bewilderment at this man’s incredible style.

Ok, so we’re getting really silly now.....but it is kinda weird how some of our regular performers look like they might have secret role models!

Please note; This part of the page is best viewed following the consumption of eight pints of Fortyniner, ten Vodkas or half a bottle of JD. God only knows what Leon had!

Has anyone seen the  film ‘The Mummy’?             (Sorry Smiffy!)

   Roger Daltrey             aka Nige Bray

   Harry Potter       aka Chris Tempest

Lord of the Rings Arwen.....aka Eloise

And finally.............

Oh yeah, and if you ever wondered who the ‘real’ boss is, here he is. You’ll find his name on the pub sign - no, not the Earl of Salisbury, but Logan - seen here practicing his ‘slouching on the monitor’ stage routine, in the bar that carries his name.
